We boldly challenge what's possible for a sustainable world.Job Summary:Trane Technologies is hiring a Supply Chain Quality Engineer responsible for managing raw material and component purchases, part qualification, and timely delivery in support of project schedules and assembly operations. The Supply Chain Quality Engineer will collaborate with enterprise strategic procurement, supplier representatives, logistics, scheduling, engineering, quality, finance and assembly operations teams to solve problems, and improve processes and key metrics.Responsibilities: Develops and executes a "Plan For Every Part" for New Products and VAVE projects, including managing inventory obsolescence. Responsible for defining optimal inventory levels to support production requirements and inventory turn goals. Facilitates phase-in/phase-out of material associated with design changes, value-engineering, supplier sourcing changes and product lifecycles. Initiates purchase orders and oversees supplier fulfillment compliance. Analyzes complex conditions to make purchasing goal decisions. Works with internal and external customers to develop and implement material flow process and process improvements. Responsible for Production Part Approval Process for NPD/VAVE projects, including Supplier Deviation Requests and internal process and product deviations. Designs tailored material carts in accordance to the materials delivery strategy. Facilitates problem resolution with Accounts Payable team related to purchases, pricing discrepancies and receipt to invoice reconciliation. Performs periodic standard work processes to support rigorous inventory management, supplier relations, data cleanliness and operational effectiveness. Actively participates in lean projects, A3 problem-solving projects and Kaizen events. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in supply chain planning, demand planning, logistics, purchasing, process flow. Experience with major ERP platforms, Microsoft Excel skillset must include pivot tables, lookup functions and charting. Practical experience in GD blueprint reading and engineering specifications as applied to inspecting and qualifying parts and assemblies. Knowledge of Computer Aided Design software. Knowledge of manufacturing, quality control, production planning process warehousing or inventory control.
