Job DescriptionENSCO is seeking an experienced Chef at theTransportation Technology Center(TTC), which is a remote researchandtest facility, to manage the day-to-day operation of the caf----.------Responsibilities include:All food production operations at the facility.Menu planning, ordering, vendor monitoring, serving, inventory, and budgeting.Promoting and maintaining a comfortable, customer-focused atmosphere for the caf----, and exceptional customer service to all caf---- visitors.Implementing and maintaining control procedures within the caf----, including daily food production charts and standardized recipes.Creating, executing, and serving weekly menus to ensure the highest quality and variety of food while staying within the caf---- budget.Maintaining a quality sanitation program in all caf---- areas.Monitoring to ensure proper receiving, storage (including temperature setting) and rotation of food products to comply with Health Department regulations.Monitoring all equipment in the caf---- to ensure cleanliness and proper working conditions.Maintaining a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.Incorporating safe work practices in job performance.Performing other related duties as assigned.Working hours: Monday - Friday 6:00 AM - 2:30 PMQualifications Required (Skills)

  • Bachelors or equivalent; Minimum of three (3) years or more of experience as a cook, sous chef or chef running a kitchen in a cafeteria or full service restaurant.
  • Must have ServSafe Food Handler Certification.
  • Strong knowledge of menu planning, cooking methods, kitchen equipment, and best practices.
  • Must be able to taste and smell to determine quality of food.
  • Must have working knowledge of Health Department regulationsincluding proper receiving of consumable inventory, understanding of safe food practices, temperature monitoring, proper handling, preparation and storage of food, and understanding cross-contamination.
  • Ability to work for prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong organizational, follow through and time management skills.
  • Valid driver's license to allow driving throughout the site.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in client and co-worker relations
  • Ability to build professional and courteous relationships with your colleagues and supervisors.Qualifications Desired
