Job Description:

ATC West Healthcare is seeking a Locum OB/GYN physician to provide a combination of clinic coverage and OB-only call coverage. This opportunity includes outpatient OB/GYN clinic responsibilities along with Labor & Delivery coverage in a collaborative practice environment with physician and mid-level support. Providers may cover full-scope clinic and call responsibilities or focus solely on in-house hospital coverage, with flexible scheduling options available for candidates who can work as little as one week per month.

Dates/Schedule

• Clinic Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM
• Hospital/Call Shift: 24-hour in-house coverage from 8:00 AM 8:00 AM
• Clinic + L&D Coverage:
  • Approximately 3 clinic days per week
  • 1 day shift of hospital L&D coverage per week
• Call Schedule:
  • Weekday 24-hour call: approximately 1:10 rotation
  • Weekend call: approximately 1:10 rotation, Friday through Monday morning
• Flexible scheduling available based on provider availability and clinic needs
• Candidates able to cover only hospital-based in-house coverage will be considered
• Providers able to work one week per month are acceptable

Job Details & Responsibilities

• Practice Setting: OB/GYN Clinic and Labor & Delivery
• Documentation System: Epic (clinic and hospital)
• Group Composition:
  • 5 OB/GYN physicians
  • 2 mid-level providers
• Average Volumes:
  • Clinic patients: approximately 20 per day
  • Deliveries: approximately 8 per week
  • OB/GYN surgeries: approximately 8 per week
• Patient Mix:
  • Low-risk pregnancies: 70%
  • High-risk pregnancies: 10%
  • C-sections: 30%
• Onsite lab and ultrasound services available
• No supervision of other healthcare providers required
• No teaching responsibilities

Required Obstetric Responsibilities

• Management of low-risk and medically complicated pregnancies
• Fetal heart rate interpretation (NST/CST/FSE)
• Routine vaginal deliveries
• C-sections and management of complicated deliveries
• Breech deliveries, multiple births, abruptions
• VBAC management
• Repair of 3rd and 4th degree lacerations

Preferred Skills/Procedures

• High-risk obstetrics management
• OB ultrasound interpretation (Level I and Level II)
• Office gynecology procedures including:
  • IUD placement
  • Cystoscopy
  • Colposcopy
  • Cryosurgery
  • LEEP procedures

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Board Certified in OB/GYN Required
• Active Colorado medical license or active IMLC Letter of Qualification Required
• Clean background/history Required
• Must be able to independently perform all required OB and Labor & Delivery procedures
• Self-Query NPDB report dated within the last month required at presentation
