UCHealth, a leading nonprofit healthcare system based in Colorado, is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for our Short Stay unit. This role is crucial for providing top-tier, patient-centered care in our dynamic hospital settings, focusing on patients staying for a brief period. The RN in this position will manage patient care in preoperative and postoperative environments, ensuring a safe and efficient turnaround and handling various clinical tasks to support patient recovery. Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to determine the necessary care and recovery plans. Implement patient care plans efficiently, ensuring quick recovery and turnaround. Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families on postoperative care and procedures necessary for home care. Coordinate with healthcare teams to ensure that patient care plans are executed seamlessly. Ensure adherence to hospital protocols for healthcare quality and patient safety. Strong clinical skills with ability to handle acute care situations. Excellent communication skills for educating patients and coordinating with care teams. Ability to quickly make decisions in fast-paced environments. High level of empathy and ability to provide patient-centered care. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Colorado or ability to obtain. BLS/CPR certification required from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
