Interventions , a local nonprofit serving the Pikes Peak area, is
looking for Special Education Professionals who are looking to
leave the classroom environment for a flexible schedule. Our
collaborative team is dedicated to serving children ages 0-18. We
ensure lack of funding is not a barrier by providing over $2
million in scholarship and pro bono services in the Colorado
Springs area over the last 18 years. PAID TRAINING FOR ALL
EMPLOYEES! We are seeking motivated professionals for full time and
part time positions providing applied behavior analysis (ABA)
services to children with disabilities, including individual
therapy, group/social skills therapy, and educational placement. We
currently have a wait list and hope to increase access to services
for these families. Qualified candidates will display a dedication
to improving lives, commitment to collaboration, the pursuit of
excellence as well as being compassionate and flexible. This
position focuses on supporting students with special needs develop
skills across developmental domains including communication, daily
living, and socialization. Staff work with caregivers including
parents and schools to implement research-based methods to decrease
challenging behaviors and increase skills. The position offers FREE
supervision under a BCBA for candidates pursuing certification.
On-going training and supervision are provided to all staff. Team

$1000 per quarter Responsibilities Responsibilities include: •
Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a
combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training
arrangements • Follow the prescribed behavioral skill acquisition
and behavior reduction protocols • Collect, record, and summarize
data on observable client behavior • Effectively communicate with
parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by
the Board Certified Behavior Analyst • Maintain client
confidentiality. • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work and
therapy environment. • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by
attending required trainings. Required Skills
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: • Ability to accept constructive
feedback and develop knowledge and skill sets accordingly. •
Effective time management skills and the ability to manage multiple
tasks at one time. • Excellent written and verbal communication
skills • Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships
with clients, co-workers, supervisors, and community members. •
Commitment to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to HIPPA
laws. • Commitment to ongoing training and development as it
relates to clinical skills, professional development, ethics, and
technology, and training in order to perform job responsibilities
to required standard. • Must maintain a professional appearance
with regard to clothing, grooming, hair, and make-up. BASIC &
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds •
Must be able to lift and carry clients with adaptive equipment. •
Must be able to assume and maintain a variety of postures
(kneeling, squatting, crawling, sitting, standing) for extended
periods of time. • Must be able to sit on the floor or stand for
extended periods of time. • Must be willing and able to
restrain/hold/transport and utilize quick body movements as
indicated in the Behavior Intervention Plan in the course of
working with children with challenging behavior. • Must be
physically present at the assigned job location, which may include
home, school, and community placements. • Must have reliable
transportation and be willing to transport clients • Must have a
valid Driver’s License & insurance in good standing EXPERIENCE: •
Required: None • Preferred: Experience working with children ages
0-18 in a classroom or 1:1 setting; experience implementing the
principles of Applied Behavior Analysis EDUCATION: • Required: High
School Diploma • Preferred: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Psychology, Education, Applied Behavior Analysis, Speech and
Hearing Services, or related field.
