Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a CO or compact RN license, with Epic and stroke patient experience. Responsibilities - Work in a 30-bed Med/Surg Tele unit caring for stroke and med-surg patients - Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, scheduled across all days of the week - Weekend coverage required per unit needs with at least 7 weekend shifts per contract - Floating required within scope and may include floating to sister facilities - Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, but may flex up based on staffing - Epic is used for charting and experience with Epic is required - No on-call responsibilities - Responsibilities include providing nursing care to stroke and medical-surgical patients in a flexible staffing environment - Must be comfortable working with fluctuating nurse-to-patient ratios with available support - Navy scrubs are required for this position - A maximum of 10 days of requested time off is allowed per 13-week contract, with specific blackout dates during holidays - No blocked scheduling requests are accepted - Mandatory online modules to be completed pre-start and during the first day of orientation - COVID vaccination is required - Candidates living less than 75 miles from the facility are considered local Requirements - Active CO or compact RN license required - Current AHA BLS and CPR certification required - At least 2 years of acute care RN experience required - Prior experience caring for stroke and med-surg patients required - Epic charting experience required - First-time travelers accepted with minimum required experience - Candidates must not have been employed by UCHealth or its affiliates in any capacity within the last two years Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629578.
