Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring Epic experience and a CO or compact RN license. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Med/Surg Tele unit caring for general med/surg, neurosurgical, and orthopedic patients, including back surgery patients and those with joint replacements - 28 bed unit with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5 on days and 1:6 on nights, which may fluctuate based on unit needs - Night shifts, three 12-hour shifts per week, with various days including weekends as needed - Required to work at least 7 weekend shifts during the contract - No on-call requirements - Floating required within all med/surg units and may float to sister facilities as needed - Epic charting system experience required - Provide nursing care primarily for med/surg, orthopedic, and neurosurgical patients, including those recovering from spine, hip, knee, and shoulder procedures - No blocked scheduling requests permitted - A maximum of 10 days of requested time off (RTO) is approved per 13-week contract; RTO is not allowed during specified blackout dates - Modules are required and are completed during the first day of orientation - Candidates must not have been employed by the specified health system or its affiliates in any capacity within the last two years - Local candidates are accepted but may be subject to a different pay rate if living within 75 miles of the facility Requirements - Active CO or compact RN license - AHA BLS and CPR certifications required - Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience - Previous Epic charting experience required - First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of RN experience - Navy scrubs required Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627875.
