Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 11/17/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring a CO or compact RN license and two years of acute care experience. Responsibilities - Work on a 30-bed Med/Surg Telemetry unit with a focus on stroke and med/surg patients - Night shifts, working three 12-hour shifts weekly from 18:45 to 07:15 - All days of the week may be scheduled, with at least 7 weekend shifts required per contract - Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 during the day and 1:6 at night, though ratios may flex based on staffing needs - Floating to like units and sister facilities is required based on facility needs - Uses Epic EMR system, prior Epic experience required - Navy scrubs are the required attire - Care for stroke, covid, and medical-surgical patients on a telemetry-capable unit - Modules must be completed pre-start during first day of NEO - Holiday time-off is restricted during peak dates; up to 10 days of RTO approved per 13-week contract - No blocked scheduling requests permitted - Not available to candidates who have worked at UCHealth or applied to its positions in the past two years - Local candidates within 75 miles are accepted with a reduced local rate Requirements - Active CO or compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of acute care RN experience required - Current AHA BLS and CPR certifications required - Epic EMR experience required - Must be comfortable with flexible nurse-to-patient ratios - First-time travelers accepted with required experience Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-627587.
