Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/08/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position with night shifts and acute care experience requirements. Responsibilities - Work in a 28-bed Medical/Surgical unit focused on elective bariatrics and telemetry - Patient population includes medical, surgical, post-critical trauma, and elective bariatric cases such as gastric sleeve and bypass - Night shift position with 3x12 hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15, days vary - Weekend shifts required per unit needs - Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 for days, 1:6 for nights and weekends, with potential to flex up based on unit needs - Floating required within scope and may include floating to sister facilities - Epic used for charting - Unit specializes in care for general medical, elective bariatric, post-critical trauma, and surgical patients - Must be prepared to work with patients diagnosed with cellulitis, alcohol withdrawal, diabetic ketoacidosis, pneumonia, and those who have experienced falls - Navy scrubs required - Pre-employment modules are completed during orientation and factored into onboarding - No on-call required - No blocked scheduling requests accepted - Up to 10 days RTO may be approved per 13 week contract, with some blackout dates for time off - Local candidates receive a reduced rate if residing within 75 miles Requirements - Active CO or Compact RN license required - AHA BLS certification required - Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience required - Experience with Epic charting preferred - Must be comfortable with flexible nurse-to-patient ratios - First-time travelers accepted if requirements are met - Candidates previously employed by UCHealth or affiliates within the past two years are not eligible Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-629773.
