We're looking for a full-time RN to work Wednesday-Friday, 7:00 PM -7:30 AM at our Acute Treatment Unit at 1302 Chinook Lane, in Pueblo. What You'll Like About Us

    • Meaningful work with opportunities to serve our neighbors in Pueblo What You'll Be Doing As a RN at the Acute Treatment Unit (ATU) you would be providing direct care to patients experiencing emotional crisis and serious psychiatric issues in an environment that is a less restrictive alternative to hospitalization. You would be conducting assessments, evaluating and managing medications, setting priorities for care, and leading your shift. You'd also have the distinct opportunity to work closely with a multidisciplinary team of Health Solutions professionals to serve individuals and groups. Specifically, the ATU RN
      • Prepares and dispenses prescribed medications;
      • Ensures that all medications are securely maintained;
      • Maintains therapeutic milieu;
      • Conducts nursing assessments;
      • Provides therapeutic sessions as needed;
      • Keeps accurate records with 100% compliance with our standards;
      • Maintains competency and proficiency with the electronic health record and electronic prescribing;
      • Organizes and maintains medication records;
      • Calls in prescriptions and follows-up on refills;
      • Orders lab work and reviews as needed for immediate attention on the doctor's behalf;
      • Consults and works closely with treating medical professionals;
      • Leads the shift and assigns tasks to co-workers to insure the smooth operation of the shift;
      • Participates in the on call schedule with an assigned minimum number of shifts per month; and
      • Performs other duties as assigned by the program director within the scope of the position.
      • Physical requirements include the following:
      • Requires frequent standing, sitting, and walking for prolonged periods of time
      • Occasionally lifts and carries items up to 50 pounds
      • Requires working under stress in emergency situations
      • Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record data electronically and communicate with clients
      • Occasional exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids
      • Requires frequent use computer operation including keyboard and mouse What We're Looking For-The Must-Haves
        • Associate or bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited academic institution
        • Current, valid license as a registered nurse in Colorado or any state participating in the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact
        • Current, valid Colorado driver's license
        • Access to reliable transportation during work hours
        • Computer proficiency
        • Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally
        • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination is required upon hire What We'd Like to See in You-The Nice-to-Haves
          • Knowledge of psychiatric medication
          • Experience in a psychiatric/mental health setting
          • Electronic health records literate
          • Adept with electronic prescribing
          • Track record of working successfully as a part of a multidisciplinary team
          • Experience in managed care environments
