Job Description:

Temporary assignment through the end of the year Monday-Friday schedule Provides surgical patient care activities. Transports patients, and related records to and from the OR and recovery room. Assists nursing staff with preoperative patient preparation activities. Helps with routing medical materiel management activities. Prepares OR for surgery by setting up and opening sterile supplies and instruments. Assists with terminal cleanup of OR and prepares for follow-up procedures. Assembles, wraps, and sterilizes instrument sets, supplies, and linen packs. Stores, maintains, and distributes sterile patient care items. Performs scrub duties in the Operating Room.Surgical Technician Job Qualifications: CAAHEP or ABHES surgical technologist accredited program graduate Completion of an accredited surgical service and clinical course. Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers 12 months of experience within the last 36 months as a surgical services technician Clinical competency with general surgical procedures
