Job Description:
Summary Explore a new career with the BLM - where our people are

become available. Responsibilities Provides leadership, technical
advice, and assistance to Field Office supervisors and resources
staff. Assures quality of work is maintained throughout the Field
Office. Responsible for administration of a variety of management
programs such as safety, upward mobility, cost reduction, EEO, drug
free workplace, etc. Directs field office resource management
activities so they remain consistent with BLM goals, objectives,
and policies. Maintains a positive program of public information
and education. Keeps abreast of changing social, cultural, and
economic conditions and demands for use of public lands and
resources. Directs administrative activities in support of
operational programs. Responsible for maintaining a sound
organization that effectively and efficiently uses personnel,
equipment, materials and financial records. Requirements Conditions
of Employment Qualifications You must possess one (1) full year of
specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 level that is
equivalent in difficulty and complexity as indicated by the
following examples: 1) Implementing complex land and natural
resource programs; 2) Coordinating land and resource planning and
management with federal, state, or local governments; 3) Ensuring
proper utilization of personnel, equipment, material, and finances
for field offices; and 4) Implementing education and training
programs for subordinate staff. *There is no education substitution
at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid
experience, including volunteer work done through National Service
programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations
(e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual;
community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical
competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable
training and experience that translates directly to paid
employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience,
including volunteer experience. You must meet all qualification
requirements by the closing date of the announcement. Education
