Health Solutions is a premier wellness center focused on whole-person care. With over 400 employees in Southern Colorado, you would be joining a mighty team of support and administrative staff, clinicians, physicians, nurses, and others in our efforts to improve the health and wellbeing of our community. We're looking for a Director to join our Acute Treatment Unit (ATU) Team. This office is located at 1302 Chinook Lane, Pueblo, CO 81001. What You'd Be Doing As a Director of Acute Treatment Unit, you would be providing excellent oversight to members of the ATU team to ensure we are providing exceptional care for our behavioral health clients. You would develop strategies, plans and goals that support the mission of the company and carry them out in an organized and productive manner. Under the supervision of the Chief Medical Services Officer, the Program Director responsibilities are:

  • Provides administrative, clinical, and personnel supervision for an Acute Treatment Unit, in accordance with state rules and regulations on the care and treatment of the mentally ill with or without co-occurring SUD, medical conditions, developmental disabilities or other conditions;
  • Assists in the development, setting, and monitoring of the program budget;
  • Participates in setting and evaluating program goals, standards, and outcomes;
  • Monitors and updates program descriptions, policies/procedures for an ATU as needed, to insure compliance with all applicable rules and regulations;
  • Conducts employee interviews and oversees the hiring and terminating of staff with the Chief Medical Services Officer;
  • Tracking and providing training to meet State and Center requirements for the ATU in coordination with the Staff Development Coordinator;
  • Meets all program reporting requirements on a timely basis;
  • With the nursing supervisor and support staff, oversees after hours, weekends, and holiday emergency services for staff and oversees staff scheduling and coverage for the daily schedule and time off coverage;
  • Develops and maintains a professional working relationship with other community agencies;
  • Writes and enforces policies and procedures.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned. SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABLILTIES:

        • Register Nurse (R.N.) with 3 years of post-nursing experience and 1 year supervisory experience and/or Master's Degree in social work, psychology or closely related human services field
        • 3 years post graduate experience in mental health treatment
        • One year of which must have been in a supervisory capacity and/or Ph.D. in clinical psychology and 1year post graduate experience in mental health treatment in a supervisory capacity.
        • Must have computer skills and ability to use data to guide changes with a team.
        • Candidate will possesses knowledge of how to effectively manage an acute treatment program for adults with mental illnesses,
        • Knowledge of individual/group/family therapy and crisis intervention techniques,
        • Experience in case management and discharge planning and displays excellent written and oral skills.
        • A valid Colorado driver's license and access to transportation during work hours are required What We'd Like to See in You-The Nice-to-Haves
