is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer / Sr. Principal Systems
Engineer to support the Program Technical Integration (PTI) team,
within SEIT PE&O on the Sentinel Program. This position can be
located in Roy, UT, Colorado Springs, CO, or Huntsville, AL . What
You’ll Get To Do: Performs technical planning, system integration,
verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and
effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at
all levels of total system product to include: concept, design,
fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and
disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer
or product requirements into total systems solutions that
acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs
functional analysis, timeline analysis, detailed trade studies,
requirements allocation and interface definition studies to
translate customer requirements into hardware and software
specifications. The selected candidate will be responsible for
participating in all phases of the program life cycle from
inception (proposal development) through startup, execution, and
completion (contract closeout). This role is highly visible with an
executive presence, and candidates must have an ability to work
well with high level NG and government customers. The candidate
must be able to thrive in a highly dynamic environment with
competing priorities and possess the ability to support the team in
an agile manner. The selected candidate will demonstrate technical
skills, organization, be an effective communicator, and problem
solver who is able to develop and maintain good working
relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The
candidate will demonstrate a commitment to ethics and integrity,
and the capability to innovate. They will have an ability to
operate in a team environment and collaborate across the program as
required to accomplish tasking. Basic Qualifications: This
requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer
level (T-03) or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer level (T-04).
Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited
university with 5 years of related experience; Masters degree and 3
years experience or an additional 4 years of related experience in
lieu of degree. 3 years of experience with Systems Engineering
Principles 3 years of experience utilizing program management,
engineering, or software configuration skills 2 years of experience
leading projects or cross functional teams 1 years of Systems
Engineering experience on a DoD Sustainment/Development contract 1
years of experience supporting Agile practices and the
Atlassian/JIRA suite Sr. Principal Systems Engineer: Bachelor’s
Degree from an accredited university with 8 years of related
experience; Masters degree and 6 years experience or an additional
4 years of related experience in lieu of degree. 5 years of
experience with Systems Engineering Principles 5 years of
experience utilizing program management, engineering, or software
configuration skills 3 years of Systems Engineering experience on a
Sustainment/Development DoD contract 3 years of experience leading
projects or cross functional teams 2 years of experience supporting
Agile practices and the Atlassian/JIRA suite 1 years of experience
with Basis of Estimate (BOE) development and modification Required
for Both Levels: Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret
Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with
an investigation date within the last 6 years and the ability to
obtain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance Must
have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program
(SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by
the company to meet its business needs. Preferred Qualifications:
Active DOD Top Secret clearance, SAP, and/or SCI access ICBM
Experience (MMIII or Sentinel) Understanding of the Systems
Engineering, Integration and Test processes on the Sentinel Program
General understanding of Engineering Review Board Processes Program
management skills: Earned Value Management and Control Account
Management experience Cost Account Management/Control Account
Management Certifications Competent with Basis of Estimate (BOE)
development and modifications Very strong data analysis skills: MS
Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with IMS critical
path(s) Strong interpersonal skills: Cross-IPT collaboration
experience; excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience leading complex projects/assignments on large DoD
contracts Comfortable briefing leadership and providing status both
down and in and up and out Experience identifying risk and

Discounts This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The
9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday
through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Sentinelsystems
Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00 Secondary
Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00 The above salary
range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman
considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers
such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the
candidate's experience, education, skills and current market
conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible
for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance
